Argus Waste Recycling is strongly committed to responsible waste management, regulatory compliance, sustainability and protection of the environment.

We believe sustainability is about ensuring the future prosperity of our company and community by being aware of our impacts and managing the risks and opportunities that come from economic, social and environmental development. We see the opportunities and value of your waste and produce products that are sustainable, deliver business outcomes for clients, and foster enduring relationships with suppliers and local communities.

Several wastes accepted for treatment and waste recovery are prescribed industrial wastes from grease interceptor traps collected from restaurants, commercial kitchens and large food manufacturers. We specialise in waste cooking oil and grease trap waste recycling as well as other liquid wastes including waste waters produced across the communications, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

All material recovered from client grease interceptor traps and used cooking oil containers is diverted from landfill and recycled at our purpose-built recycling facility for higher end uses. Residues from the treatment of grease interceptor and cooking oil waste is converted into an organic nutrient rich soil enhancer for beneficial land applications. As a soil enhancer it replenishes depleted soils, protects against erosion, can replace synthetic fertilizers and helps retain water.

Used cooking oils are refined for use in the manufacture of biofuels. Significant benefits of biofuels derived from used cooking oil are that they burn clean, have a low carbon content and do not produce carbon monoxide. These factors help users reduce their carbon footprint. These initiatives provide sustainable options for our clients’ liquid waste streams.
